Medigap Plan K

Medigap Plan K will pay a percentage of all services covered. As a result, the benefit package will come with lower premiums than most other Medigap plans while offering coverage for preventative care services.

Medigap Plan K will offer benefits and coverage for a variety of health services by providing 50% of coverage for a majority of co-pays and deductibles, which includes the following benefits and costs:

  • Part A hospice care co-insurance or co-payment
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) care co-insurance
  • Medicare Part A deductible
  • Medicare Part B co-payment or co-insurance coverage
  • First three pints of blood for a covered medical procedure

Plan K requires enrollees to pay Medicare Part B deductible, as well as Part B’s excess charges out-of-pocket. Health care providers and doctors are allowed to charge 15% over Medicare-approved cost for their services. The excess charges will the the responsibility of the enrollee once Medicare as approved the amount.
